Every Gentle Heart puppy matters to us for their whole life. We understand that circumstances can change, and we'd always rather help than see one of our puppies end up somewhere uncertain. Please talk to us first — we're here to help.
If you can no longer keep your puppy
At any stage of your dog's life, if you find you're unable to care for them, please contact us before rehoming. Wherever we can, we will take a Gentle Heart puppy back or help you find them a suitable new home. Our priority is always the dog's wellbeing.
Returns of this kind are arranged with us directly and assessed individually. A return is not automatically a refund — change-of-mind refunds are not offered once your puppy has gone home — but we will always work with you to do right by your dog.
If a health concern arises
We encourage a vet check within the first few days of bringing your puppy home. If your vet identifies a health issue — or if your puppy shows signs of illness early on — please contact us straight away with your vet's documentation. Covered conditions are handled under the health guarantee set out in our Terms & Conditions.
We're not responsible for veterinary costs incurred without first speaking with us, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
