These terms apply when you reserve and purchase a puppy from Gentle Heart Cavoodles. By paying a deposit, you agree to them. They're written to be clear and fair — if anything is unclear, please ask us before you reserve.
Reserving your puppy
A holding deposit secures your chosen puppy (or your place on our priority list) and is deducted from the total adoption price. Your deposit is fully refundable up to two weeks before your agreed collection date. Within two weeks of collection it becomes non-refundable, except where we are unable to provide a suitable puppy — in which case it is fully refunded, or carried over to a future litter if you prefer.
Payment
The remaining balance is due on or before collection. Deposits are paid securely online; the balance can be arranged with us directly. Your puppy is reserved for you once your deposit is received.
What's included
Every Gentle Heart puppy goes home:
- microchipped and registered to you;
- with their first vaccination and a vet health check;
- wormed and treated for parasites;
- with a starter pack to help them settle in;
- and covered by our 2-year genetic health guarantee.
Your puppy's health
Your puppy is examined by our vet and is healthy at the time of collection. We encourage you to have your own vet check your puppy within 3 days of collection, at your expense, for your own peace of mind.
Health guarantee
We guarantee your puppy against serious hereditary or congenital conditions that materially affect their health for two years from their date of birth. If a registered vet diagnoses a covered condition, contact us promptly with the supporting veterinary documentation and we will work with you on a fair resolution. This guarantee does not cover conditions caused by injury, accident, neglect, diet, or a lack of appropriate ongoing care.
Caring for your puppy
By taking your puppy home, you agree to provide:
- a safe, loving home and a lifelong commitment;
- ongoing vaccinations, worming and veterinary care at your expense;
- good-quality food, fresh water, exercise and grooming;
- desexing at the age your vet advises (typically around six months), unless otherwise agreed;
- council registration and compliance with local pet regulations.
Collection & delivery
Puppies are ready for their new homes at around eight weeks of age. You're welcome to collect your puppy from us in South East Queensland, or we can arrange safe Australia-wide delivery for a fee. Responsibility for your puppy passes to you once they are collected or handed to a delivery service.
Liability
Other than under our health guarantee and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for issues arising after your puppy has been collected, or for any matter relating to third-party transport. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded by law.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. We're always happy to talk anything through before you reserve.
